[[Tegra]] is the Chief Medical and Mining Officer aboard the [[Tellarite]] freighter [[Moarvol]]. She was responsible for the medical support of the ship's crew as well as running the separation processes associated with the removal of useable metal ores, usually [[Magnesite]] or [[Duranium]], recovered from [[Asteroid]]s. She does not possess a medical license, but is trained as a Medic. She served in the Andorian Resistance during the [[Federation Civil War]] as a young adult.

In 2413, she and the rest of the crew of the Moarvol were mining magnesite in the [[Zeta Draconis System]] when they inadvertently contracted an infestation of [[Vexarak Spoiler]]s.

They then brought the infestation to [[Starbase 989]], where it was introduced to the station through the bulk storage tanks. The shipment of Magnesite was scheduled to be smelted into bars for easy use and transportation to another shipper.
