During her years on [[mars]] she was a well-respected member of the [[Utopia Colony]] community. She was often active in community action groups and committees with a focus on education.

After the death of her Husband, [[Jonathan Jackson]], Martha remarried. She chose for her second husband [[Pez]] a wealthy and highly successful [[Ferengi]] businessman. The family, along with her son [[Thomas Jackson]] moved to [[Ferenginar]].
