Editing Telepathic Interface Device

The [[Telepathic Interface Device]] or TID for short, was a device created by [[Rank|Lieutenant]] [[Detron Trei]] as a holographic construct aboard the [[Holodeck]] of the [[USS Boudicca]]. 

The device was designed to read and magnify Trei's inherent telepathic abilities and allow him to beam those energies out into space, with the purpose of contacting other species. The TID was partially successful, when in 2414, it was used to make contact with [[Volus]] a member of the [[Varn]] species, who was a semi-independent member of the [[Borg Collective]].

The device recorded the telepathic frequencies that were used to make contact. Trei's contact jeapordized the Mission against the Borg and almost caused the destruction of the [[USS Boudicca]] and the [[USS Rosenante]].
