==Family and Background:==

Very little is known about this secretive woman who has spent nearly all of her life living at the fringes of civilization and the law. Wanted by the authorities on a score of worlds, by officials of the Federation, the [[Romulan Star Empire]], and the [[Klingon Empire]], there is few places where this woman can go and not have to watch her back.

Wanted for more crimes than can be easily listed here, the more important ones include extortion, blackmail, smuggling, theft (Grand Larceny), espionage, and hijacking as well as for a number of murders, Devries has been a criminal all of her adult life.

Her family background is unknown although it is known that she is originally from [[Betazed]].

Her only confirmed blood relative is her estranged son [[Eric McDermott]], who has no further knowledge of his family tree than what his mother told him, which was nothing.
