==History, Education and Skills==

===Family and Background===
	
 Having grown up in the well-preserved lands just outside of London, England, Quinn Beckett had a simple raising along with his mother and father, as well as two younger sisters. His parents were very strict about the old ways of preparing food, so in that light, they grew their own plants and vegetables and cooked without the use of replicators. His sisters chose to follow in their parents footsteps, but Quinn elected to move beyond, to study technology and progress his life into the future mindset of the world. Even as a child, Quinn explored the countryside hills just to see what was over the next peak. His ideal of exploration was carried over and nurtured in his path to the academy, where he further solidified his love for technology and its usefulness.

===Education===	

After primary and secondary schooling, Quinn attended a local urban university in the suburbs of London majoring in computer mechanics and processing. Then he decided to make a drastic change in his career path. After two years at the university, he relocated to San Francisco and joined Starfleet Academy where he majored in Operations and minored in Tactical, giving him a broad education that encompassed a variety of situations and information. At the end of his tenure at the Academy, he published a paper on the affects of introducing and infusing biological micro-cellular components with nano-technology, opening a new and rather unorthodox method of the use of the technology. This earned Beckett the award of Valedictorian for his graduation class.

===Pre-Starfleet History===
	
Quinn Beckett started his life wanting to serve in his London community as a computer scientist, but then realized that he could quickly become just like his parents and find himself locked in one place for the rest of his life thereby smothering out his childhood need to continue to explore. To be true to himself, he left the university he was attending and decided to join Starfleet where he could endulge in both Operations and technology as well as his base nature of exploration.
