Neussite 293 is, according to the Federation's LCARS, a "highly stable liquid explosive used for industrial infusion charge applications and manufacturing. Ignited by microwave pulse detonator."
Neussite 293 was available to the crew of the USS Enterprise-D, and was one of the powerful explosives suggested to be used to help free the ship when it was trapped in a Tyken's Rift in 2367. (TNG: "Night Terrors")
- Atoms of this material appeared in an okudagram display of explosives listed in the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-D) library computer. This one in particular appears to be a reference to production staff associate Wendy Neuss.
