The USS Bohrs is a small science survey vessel of the Mission Scout type employed by the United Federation of Planets. The Vessel is large enough to handle a survey party of six personnel for a short period of time. The vessls are usually employed for First Contact and Cultural Surveys on worlds not yet contacted by the UFP.
In 2413, the USS Bohrs was on such a mission near the planet Irlix. They were conducting a follow-up survey to determine the potential origins of a Federation warp signature that had been detected in that system by the crew of the USS Champlain in 2406.
During the mission their Cloaking device failed and they were attacked by Irlixian military starships and forced down on the planet.
The crew was captured and the USS Rosenante was ordered to conduct a rescue mission. The USS Bohrs was commanded by Captain Sarah Brightman.
The USS Bohrs was first seen in the USS Rosenante mission: The Gilded Man.
