Ensign Fala Taban is a Bajoran Starfleet officer who was serving on the USS Spectre. He stands 5'8" with short black hair and is of average build.
Childhood
Fala Taban grew up during the Dominion occupation of Bajor. His father was killed when he was young and he was raised by his grandmother. His scientific spirit was fueled during many explorations of the mountains in Hill Province, where he grew up. This curiosity would often get him in trouble with his grandmother who was a devout follower of the Prophets. After the Federation liberation of Bajor and the treaty with the Dominion is signed, Taban decided to leave Bajor and join Starfleet Academy.
Starfleet Academy
Fala Taban graduated the Academy with honors. His final project being a historical study of the wormhole aliens that his people called the Prophets. He gathered all the data which had been taken previously and was actually able to go on a starship with one of his professors to study the wormhole in person.
During his time at the Academy, he befriended two humans: Christopher Adams and Tom Stratton. They became good friends and all graduated at the same time. They enjoyed a drink at the 602 Club before heading out on their assignments post graduation.
USS Paladin
Fala Taban was able to convince an Admiral that he was sympathetic to the causes of Admiral LoDona and he was assigned to the same ship as his friend Christopher Adams. He works in Stellar Cartography as one of the senior star charters. He has been pretty bored with his job since coming on board because there hasn't been much exploring going on during the Civil War.
USS Humboldt
After the civil war and the destruction of the USS Paladin, Fala Taban was assigned to the science vessel USS Humboldt under the command of Captain Talasario. Although Talasario was former Doenitz sympathizer, Taban learned to live with his new captain's past. All he cared about that it was nice to get back to exploring the galaxy once again.
USS Spectre
Having just emerged from five years in the past, Captain T'Vhor, requested new crew members for the USS Spectre when she docked at Starbase 24 so that he wouldn't have a crew that had a five year gap in their knowledge. Having just finished his six year tour on the Humboldt, Ensign Fala seemed a natural fit. This also led to him reuniting with old friend Christopher Adams. However, the reunion was cut short when his friend was injured when the Spectre was ambushed by a ship using technology from the ETHOS project.

Character Bible
Fala Taban is a young Bajoran from the Hill Province on Bajor. He is a quiet individual, but makes deep friendships once he gets to know someone. He is a scientist, but his family has a deeply religious background with the Prophets. This usually has him conflicted between scientific methods and faith.
Taban's father was killed when he was young and he was raised by his grandmother.
