USS Boudicca (NCC-49901)

The USS Boudicca is a starship currently serving in the Starfleet of the United Federation of Planets. The ship was launched in 2404, and at the time was the second ship of the Keltoi Class. She is currently assigned to the 52nd Fleet. Her Original design was as a Ship-of-the-line, and she was initally to be deployed a deterrent to conflict hotspots such as the Romulan Neutral Zone or the edge of Orion Syndicate space. She is the Second ship to be launched in the Star Trek freedom Universe for the 52nd Fleet and as such, she has a long an illustrious career. She served with distinction during the Federation Civil War, being the lead element on the attack against the Mars Defense Perimeter and Starbase Valhalla. Though she was heavily damaged during the fighting, The fleet refused to decommission her, instead opting to refurbish her as a long-range Explorer. The vessel's core design encompasses 19 decks. USS Boudicca Deck Plans are available to those with appropriate security clearance.

The crew of the USS Boudicca is considered to be one of the most Elite and dedicated crews in the fleet. The Officers who serve aboard her come from a wide variety of backgrounds and worlds, each bringing their own unique perspectives and experiences to the overall performance of the ship. There are personnel both old and new aboard ship who all strive together to overcome the challenges and risks that the universe throws at them. They are explorers and warriors all dedicated to the betterment of the United Federation of Planets and it's principles. Often they have faced the grimmest of challenges with duty, honor and dedication.

Fleet Update

The Boudicca was ordered to travel to Color II, a planet that is part of the United Federation of Planets. The duty given to the crew of the Boudicca was to inspect Color II to ensure the UFP charter was being adhered to. Upon their arrival no communications with the planet surface could be established. After scanning Color II it was clear that nearly 25% of its population had be eradicated. With such disturbing news Captain Capps ordered an away team to the original meeting place at the Capital building of Color II. Once the away team was beamed down and searched the nearby area several different teams found dead bodies mutilated. The team later learned that the bodies had been eaten, and most likely while they were still alive. Waiting for the rest of the away team to return to the rendezvous point a mob of undead beings of about 100 began to merge on the away team. There was no time to beam out so they took refuge in an abandoned building, which turned out to be some sort of power plant. The mob could only be described as zombies. They were pale, dark, green, and black. They had wounds, deep wounds on their ligaments. Blood covered their tattered and torn clothes. The away team now trapped inside of the building planned out their next move. Team 2 would go downward further in to the power plant where it was believed living native population were taken refuge. Team 1 would go upward to blow a hole in the ceiling to get a clear link with the Boudicca to beam out. As the two teams were about to head out the mob of the undead tore through the flimsy door that kept them at bay and chased both teams to their destinations. Team 2 fought the zombies as they ran backwards. Along their way Doctor Saryn discovered a baby and took it in order to protect it from the onslaught of the zombie horde. Lieutenant Skylynx decided that closing up the tunnel by creating a wall of debris would keep them safe for the time being, so he charged a phaser to explode. Team 2 was chased up the stairs. The security officers that accompanied them fended of the zombies for as long as they could. They shot a hole in the highest point of the building to create a hole large enough to make contact with the Boudicca. Before the team could be beamed away Lieutenant Jacobs colasped to the ground. In the hole a large black creature with long black wings could be seen. It could be described as a black demom/beast with wings. That was when the Science Officer Romanoff successfully beamed team 1 off of the planet. Back on the Boudicca, team 1 began their preparations to rescue team 2 from the planet surface. It was also ascertained that the demon/beast controls the horde of zombies through telepathic abilities. The horde is his army. The undead can be created two different ways, through a virus that can be transferred through bites or the beast can take control of living beings' mind through his strong telepathic abilities. He enjoys to take control of other telepaths, the stronger the better.
