*In Star Trek: Freedom the FO is secondary to the captain and aids in decision making both in and out of game for the duty station. It is not unusual for an FO to completely run a duty station for a significant length of time, believe me, I know that one. I'm more of a partner to my CO than an added appendage. FOs and COs are the significant command players on duty stations doing most of the administrative work and coordinating on most of the key decisions. While the COs final decision is the one that is followed, most captains work with their FOs and come to an agreed upon decision. In other words, FOs do have some significant authority in the game and his/her decisions have executive power. -- [[User:JPB|JPB]] | *In Star Trek: Freedom the FO is secondary to the captain and aids in decision making both in and out of game for the duty station. - I would just like to point out that this Infobox was intended for Commanding Officers (rank of Captain and above) and not for usual staff of Commanding Division ("the red collars"), as the latter one is a division same as others. This Infobox is to visually suggest that the player has some significant authority in the game and his/her decisions have executive power, what may not be known by the new players, or outside visitors to our Wiki. This is, of course, my own view on the subject so your input is more than welcome. George 18:50, 26 February 2006 (EST)
