Physical Description:

Ana is a very lovely woman of Hindi descent. She has lovely long brownish red hair that reaches the middle of her back. She has lovely doe's eyes of a rich brown color, full lips and an athletic build

Background:

Anamitra is the oldest of two children. She has a brother, Lieutenant Doyle Allan Ripley, named after her father, who is currently serving as a tactical officer aboard the USS Gresham, an Akira Class Starship.

Her Mother's name is Bahtharupta 'Anita' Ripley and she is a professional vocal performer and musician. She is well-known among those appreciative of classical and traditional music.

Her Father, Doyle Allan Ripley is a Starfleet Captain currently in command of the USS Pravda (Truth), A Sovereign Class Starship. During the Federation Civil War, the Pravda was assigned to the 1st Defense Fleet. That same fleet was assigned to the defense of Sector 001 during the final battle for control of the Mars Defense Perimeter. Through out the civil war, he was a sympathizer with the 52nd Fleet and indirectly assisted in the slow feeding of intelligence information to Doenitz's enemies. He was exceptionally cautious in this activity. During the Battle, the Pravda switched sides and was nearly destroyed as a result. He survived the Battle and was decorated twice for Heroism and Courage.

Education:

Anamitra is well educated. She studied dance and Psychology in College and is an excellent dancer. She also plays classical piano, cello and violin. She speaks four languages; Hindi, Standard, Vulcan, and Andorian. She studied Psychoanalytical theory at Oxford University in England, and a two-year course in Xenopsychology at the famed Betazoid Institute for Mental Health.

Pre-Starfleet:

Ana had a jeweled life. She spent much of her childhood aboard Federation starships, exploring various ports of call and expanding her understanding of the universe. Her family is very close-knit and they communicate regularly. Ana had a fabulous childhood full of love and support from her parents. They encouraged her in a multitude of projects, including music, dance and languages.

Starfleet:

Anamitra has served on a Starfleet Medical facility at Luna during the first two years of her career as a junior member of the counseling staff. She was then transferred through surreptitious mean, during the Civil War, to Starbase Geneva where she served on the counseling staff while she awaited assignment on a starship with the 52nd Fleet. Her father disagreed with her blatant show of resistance to Doenitz, although he understood and agreed with her reasoning. He was merely concerned for her safety and worried that Doenitz may target his family and himself for reprisals as a result of her actions. Ana was assigned to the USS Hades in late 2407 just prior to the Battle for Sector 001.

Medical:

Ana had all the normal childhood sickness and has recovered from them all without incident. She has never been seriously injured and has no medical issues of note. She is psychologically stable, although a bit co-dependant with friends and her family. She has a tendancy to be clinical towards the formation of relationships with those that she works with closely, never really forming significant friendships or relationships.

She allowed herself to form a romantic relationship with Ensign Nerrah Kusto, and Engineer aboard the Hades. Kusto was killed during the battle for the Mars Defense Perimeter and Ana has since refrained from the further development of romantic relationships with other Starfleet officers.

Hobbies:

Ana is an accomplished dancer and enjoys all sorts of styles of dancing. She particularly enjoys Ballroom Dancing, Belly Dancing, Ballet and Swing Dancing as well as Indian traditional dances such as Bharatanatyam, Chhau and Mohiniyattam. She also plays the Piano, Cello and Violin.

She enjoys cooking as well, and specializes in Indian and Southeast Asian Cuisine.

In addition to her hobbies, she maintains a high degree of physical training to stay sharp with her Eastern Indian Martial Arts. She is a practitioner of Kalarippayattu, Silambam and Marmam, long considered to be the oldest martial disciplines on Earth. Her Father is a master at all three styles and trained Ana from an early age.

Ana has always found languages fascinating, and as such has taught herself Hindi, Andorian and Vulcan. She is currently attempting to learn Bajoran.

Skills:

Ana is a wonderful cook, dancer, musician and linguist. She is excellent at understanding human and non-human psychology. She is a quick study and is always willing to learn something new. She loves culture of all sorts and absorbs odd facts as a result of her eclectic interests. She is compassionate and strongly opinionated. She is a capable shuttle pilot, as a result of years of operation growing up. She is not shy and usually makes friends easily. She is not technically minded, nor does she excel at hard science. She has average skill with a phaser but is a skilled martial Artist, although she prefers to use violence only as a last resort, instead depending on her diplomatic and counseling skills to defuse situations whenever possible.
