In 2365, a conference was held on Pacifica concerning the admission of the Antedeans into the Federation. The Enterprise was assigned to transport two Antedean dignitaries to the planet, as well as Ambassador Lwaxana Troi. (TNG: "Manhunt")

In the Mirror Universe Pacifica was a contested world. Neither the Klingon Empire nor the Terran Empire were able to establish a colony on that world as a result of constant attacks by the other party. For a short while the ISS Bombay was assigned to protect the Terran Colony there, but was drawn away in 2265 to the planet Ravanar IV where it was destroyed by the Shedai Wanderer.
