In the Mirror Universe, Monor Base was built by a Cardassian gul named Monor, who served in the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance. Monor took command of the planet Ardana when the Alliance crushed the Terran Republic. Since the world had been drained of zenite by the Terran Empire, Monor, a scientist, converted the Ardanan facility Stratos City into a place of research, which he called Monor Base.
