Physical Description:[edit]
Oggie's most interesting features are his eyes that he can bulge to the point that they nearly pop out of his face and his 'casual' hairstyle, which includes a neatly trimmed goatee and long hair that flows onto his shoulders. Being overweight, Oggie could do with some kind of exercising but has managed to wriggle out of it for many years. At the start of psychology training, Oggie was described as the spitting image of someone in desperate need of a counsellor himself.
Background:[edit]
Having grown up in a family with two more brothers Oggie had a reasonably happy childhood. Not being very good at logical deductions he found he had a knack for the opposite and started a philosophical discussion group at college. Finding that philosophy started to become a bit of a bore as no-one else seemed to be able to follow his train of thoughts, he got fascinated with the way the thoughts of others went and he decided to train as psychologist.
Education:[edit]
Apart from elementary school, where other kids persisted in shortening his name to Oggie, mainly because it rhymed with Boggie, which was considered quite hilarious, Augustus had a rather normal school career, ending with reading Psychology at the university of San Francisco.
Pre-Starfleet:[edit]
Fresh out of university, Oggie was accepted into the clinic where he spent his internship, where his flair for 'fresh' thinking rewarded him with a residency. After fifteen years of service, he became head of the clinic. After an additional fifteen years of service, he was requested by Starfleet to join their ranks.
Starfleet:[edit]
Having followed a crash course in Starfleet introduction, Oggie was assigned to the SF Counselling HQ where he headed several review boards. Getting frustrated with his service 'behind the lines' Oggie managed to persuade his superiors to allow him to visit the fleet's ships for Counselling assistance, providing second opinions and inspections. His second assignment brought him to the USS Boudicca, to investigate a possible failure of placement.
Medical:[edit]
Apart from a rather poor overall physique, Oggie did not have any medical issues, apart from the standard illnesses.
Hobbies:[edit]
Oggie likes to read historic novels and likes to stroll around grassland in his bare feet.
Skills:[edit]
Oggie has a knack of creating a friendly atmosphere, enticing people to tell more than they normally would.
