History and Education[edit]
Family and Background[edit]
Born and raised on Utopia Planitia where his parents both worked as engineers, Pete grew up with theory and practical engineering all around him. His parents are both now retired, but retain regular speaking engagements at Utopia Planitia with the Academy Satelite Program for engineering cadets. Pete is married to Collette Holland (nee Andrews) and they have 4 children, Stefan (13), Andre (11), Nadia (9) and Artemis (4). His family is stationed on Geneva where Collette works as a medical researcher.
Collette[edit]
Stationed at Geneva long-term, Collette is a theoretical engineer. She has been primary care-giver of the children, but tries her best to involve Peter whenever possible. They both have been trying for years to get an assignment together, but have been unsuccessful.
Stefan[edit]
Stefan is the eldest child, and is currently 13 years of age. He is a typical teenager who is frustrated with the distance between himself and his father. Stefan enjoys a Judo program and keeps himself occupied with that when not in school.
He inherited the dark brown eyes and hair of his mother, and his father's ability to scale almost anything.
André[edit]
André is 11 years old and is alone among his siblings to choose to follow his father's penchant for all things Klingon. He acts out at school in attempts to act Klingon, but is learning when it is honourable to fight.
André inherited the recessive genes of both his parents that gave him blue eyes. His hair leans more to his father's colouring, but is slightly darker. He inherited his father's sense of humour.
Nadia[edit]
Nadia is an artist, her father tries to send her art boxes so that she can continue to flourish in this regard. She is a happy 9 year old.
Nadia also inherited the recessive genes of both parents, giving her bright blue eyes. She inherited her mother's sense of artistry and her father's bravery.
Artemis[edit]
The youngest Holland child, Arty was a bit of a surprise to the family (arriving 5 years after the other three children). He is currently taking swimming lessons and seems to be a bright, spunky little boy.
Arty inherited the brown eyes of both his parents and a recessive genetic trait that blessed him with red hair. He inherited his father's bravery.
Education[edit]
Klingon Training Academy (Qo'nos)
Starfleet Academy - OPS and Engineering
Personal History[edit]
As a youngster, Peter was bullied because of his size by a group of Nausicaans who thought they had the run of Utopia Plantia. Peter's parents enrolled him in judo to help him learn to defend himself against this trio of larger boys. Peter finally succeeded in making them stop their activities by letting his anger fuel his controlled use of judo mixed with a little parcour.
This happened during a period where Peter had made friends with the son of the Klingon Ambassador stationed at Utopia Planitia at the time. The young Klingon, Kurleck was quite impressed by the way Peter handled himself and eventually the pair became well known around the colony - not as bullies themselves, but as protectors. Me'rack, the Klingon ambassador also came to think much of this young human who was developing a keen sense of justice and honour from his own son and invited Peter to come back to Q'onos with them when he returned there.
After four years in a fighting academy alongside Kurleck, Peter was honoured by the ambassador and made a member of his house, with the name Mok'taH.
Pre-Starfleet History[edit]
Pete spent four years on Qo'nos after high school, having made friends with the Klingon ambassador's son Kur'leck. He trained with the Klingon youth and was seen as a worthy opponent despite being human, and rather puny at that. At the end of his time there, Pete was honoured by Ambassador Me'rack and given a place in the Ambassador's House. To the Klingons, he is known as Mok'taH of the House of Me'rack.
Starfleet History[edit]
Pete graduated from Starfleet Academy at the age of 26 and was stationed aboard the USS Thunderchild for a time before transfering to Deep Space 15. He has risen steadily through the ranks due to his solid abilities as an engineer and his unflappable nature in a fight.
