Missions
Fleet Update
Mission: The Quondam Season Day: 3 Stardate: 2408.12.24
(USS Rosenante, Bridge, CO- Captain Ahmed Ibn Salid- Day 3- 0800)
"Personal Log, Stardate 2408.12.24"
"What a way to spend Christmas eve. While I do not normally care much for the archaic Christian Holiday I can not seem to quell the near child-like excitement that I feel whenever I think about our current mission."
"With almost all the materials for the Xega Archeological team finally aboard, we'll be free to undock from Geneva station and make our way to Xega III."
"I have been following Doctor Teonkampf's work since I was in the academy. His dedication to spend nearly thirty years excavating so many sights on that inhospitable world is simply amazing."
"I consider us lucky to draw the duty of resupplying the long term survey team there and am hoping to get to take a look around some of the Xegan ruins personally."
"The trip to Xega isn't a long one, and we should be arriving around 1200 hours tomorrow. Once there, we'll have a great deal to do. Repairs that will need to be made, Medical check-ups for the Archeologists, Resupply and a series of planetary surveys and stellar tests to run just to name a few."
"On top of all that, we have to set up the new Hab Unit. The only real drawback I can see is that we won't be able to use the transporters because of the high concentration of radioactive particles in the planets upper atmosphere. That of course means a lot of shuttle trips from the Rosenante to the planet's surface."
"I suppose with everything that this crew has been through, that we are long over due for an easy, simple mission. I know I won't complain if that turns out to be the case."
