The Soldarin Memory Extraction Machine was an ancient device created by the now extinct Soldarin Species. It was located on the moon Kadyl inside the Soldarin Archives.
While well beyond the understanding of federation science, the machine was fundamentally designed to interface with living minds and extract memories, data and experiences from the neural structure. The machine was capable of accessing hundreds of thousands of minds in this manner. It was, in effect a computer system that allowed the Soldarins to collect data and experiences for storage in the Archives.
