Only a few weeks after the evacuation of the federation refugees from Beta Aquillia IV the USS Rosenante was once again on patrol in Sector 6309. Among those remaining on board is Ambassador Joanne Turner, Niambh McNulty, David Rostov and Sien.
These individuals had their various reasons from remaining aboard, but as Captain Salid had no arguments against their remaining on-board for the time being, they found themselves spending a good deal of time mixing with the crew of the Rosenante.
Three days after transferring the last true refugee from the Rosenante to the USS Noble the Rosenante found itself conducting a basic survey mission. This tedium coupled with the recent failure to uncover those behind the Veil of the Sky coup on Beta Aquillia IV led to an all-time low morale aboard ship.
That tedium, however was soon to be interrupted, with the sudden appearance of a Plasma Field Storm that seemed to manifest spontaneously. The storm front struck the unprepared Rosenante with full force, causing massive damage to the ship's power distribution systems among other ship's systems.
The crew of the Rosenante are scrambling to aid the wounded, survey the extent of the damage done to the ship and to restore critical systems. In addition, Captain salid has order lieutenant Viskhard to begin an analysis of the storm front, in the hopes of predicting the possibility of a recurrence.
