He fought off an attempt by the Jobar to wrest the gateway from the Hyrangu which brought about the self-destruction of the Myenru colony. Megselif abducted and studied the horta Maraht during the away mission on the terraformed planets surface, owing to his conversation with the silicon based life form (A curiosity to the Hyrangu who had never seen such before) he tested the resolve then the peaceful intentions of the Federation group then allowed Maraht and the other Hades officers to leave peacefully. He also forwarded the request of the Federation representatives to his own ruling council for a face-to-face meeting between the civilizations after warning them that such was a matter unlikely to manifest in the short term.
