Personal Information
Let’s see here, of all the things I could say about myself but usually chose not too...
I'm a Gemini, that will be about as close to my birthday as I will allow you to come without a blood-test and DNA matching. I was born and partially raised along the sea-coast of Virginia, it usually happens that way when one is born into a Naval family. I spent the rest of my childhood among amber waves of grain, Iowa to be precise.
I'm large, half-deaf and going bald... so that puts me in league with about half the males in this country. Nothing Special, all told. Though I'm told I have mystical eyes...
I happen to be a Southern Baptist with a solid belief in the Holy Trinity, and the annoying habit of several religious-types I know to ask questions and demand answers about *everything*. Try not to type-cast me, however, until you have gotten to know me and my views. I also have an annoying habit of speaking my mind.
I'm a History/Government major with Republican leanings when it comes to education and politics. Though, I am also planning a degree in some sort of computer field, probably Website design and graphics development. As of this moment, my job is doing web-work, Graphics Development and keeping a few clients computers from crashing. It pays the bills. Officially, I’m known as Aaedin Web Group. Sounds impressive, don’t you think? I rather liked it anyway…
I spend my time as a hermit mostly, living on the computer and talking on the phone to one special woman, and one other close friend. Does that make me a geek? Oh, you bet it does...
I write a lot, and I do have something of a creative imagination.
I am in love with the concept of free time, I have so very little of it; it’s a philosophical ideal that I often discuss with various people I know. When I do have a few free moments, I write for a PBeM (Play by Email) by the name of Star Trek: Freedom. I've been in charge of running this game for the last year-and-a-half or so, not a bad deal considering the people I game with there. I sat down a few days ago and figured out an average of what I write, and since I’ve been in this game since late 1998, that added up to a LOT of pages. I figured I have written the equivalent of nearly ten thousand pages, enough for several trilogies of books. Can we say ‘obsessive’ anyone?
I also spend the odd weeknight playing D&D 3rd edition with some of my friends, namely Ryan & Vanessa. And, every other day or so, I get onto Jennifer Government and pick a few selections. If you don't know what I'm talking about, you won’t believe me unless you take a look at it.
And, last but not least, I’m doing a horrible job of writing a novel. It eats some spare time I do have when I feel the itch to write and I have nothing to post, it will never see the light of day. It is loosely based on the same gaming world of Aaedin.
Whereas once I was happy and hopeful; now I'm generally depressed and cynical. I don't suppose it's too bad a mix, at least I keep my feet on the ground.
Yeah, anyway, that about does it for the 'All about Trout Hour', tune-in some other time kiddies. Remember the 6 o'clock show is completely different from the 9 o'clock show.
