The Sol System is a starsystem that orbits around the star named Sol. Since Earth is the headquarters of the Federation, the Sol System recevies a lot of galactic traffic and attention. Non-Federation galatic powers often target the Sol System for destructive attacks. Like the rest of the Federation, the Sol System was placed under martial law at President Doenitz' command.
Humans are from the Sol System, but various other species have relocated.
