Early Life
Dartena comes directly from Bolarius IX. She was the daughter of a merchant family there. Growing up Dartena showed a great deal of intelligence and ability. She had a growing fascination with the stars and desired to join Starfleet from a young age. Her mother died when Dartena was 14, making her father promise to find a way to mark Dartena’s dream come true. Dartena’s father, since that time, made it his mission to ensure his daughter would attend Starfleet Academy and follow her dream. Dartena’s life has been marked by constant hard work and study. As a child, so invasive was her desire to join Starfleet that she often pushed social concerns aside. While in the Academy she finally started attempting to mix and make friends.

First Assignment, USS Nimitz
Dartena spent a good deal of her time when she started on the USS Nimitz as an Ensign Junior Grade, working in the shuttle bays. As Operations Officer for the fleet of shuttles, she was responsible for their day to day power maintenance. When the Chief of Operations was injured during a mission Dartena was called to the bridge to take the Ops station and has stayed there taking Beta Shift.
Since that time, Dartena took part in several missions, including one to stabilize the planet Terellia (End of Days) after officers loyal to Doenitz created conditions that were killing the planet and its inhabitants.

Personal Life
Dartena is currently engaged in a relationship with Captain Sash. The two have gone to great pains to keep that relationship out of their normal day to day operations. The relationship continues to grow.
