HAZ-SUP Flotilla
History
The Hazardous Support Flotilla (HAZ-SUP Flotilla) is an auxiliary unit of the 52nd Fleet. Although it had a large presence during the Civil War it has been reduced to its present numbers due to the rapid expansion of 52nd Fleet and its priorities. It has been folded into Starfleet medical as part of its long range medical disaster planning. The vessels are used for missions that are inherently dangerous for ships and its crews. The vessels patrol singly or in pairs and react to any hazardous or Search and Rescue mission which falls into their remit as well as the transport and logistics for the Outbreak Response Teams. Their mission parameters are wide and varied from long range Search and Rescue, hazardous exploration to responding planetary disasters and global pandemics as well as salvage missions. The ships and crew of the Hazardous Support Flotilla have a higher rate of losses than other part of the 52nd Fleet due to the dangerous missions they are sent on.
