Somek
Somek was a Romulan Intelligence officer, the second in command of the Romulan Tal Shiar. His grandson T'Sek was the captain of the Harveq. Somek was serving under Chairman Vaebn as Vice Chairman in 2413.
In 2413, T'Sek's ship the Harveq a heavily modified Romulan freighter was sequestered at Starbase 989 by Captain Joseph Taylor, who intended to force the captain to take him to Risa after he betrayed some disreputable business associates.
Somek was well known among the staff of Starbase 989 and it seems that he was feared by at least some of them.Lieutenant Ben Soma along with several other officers from the USS Rosenante, a Rosenante Class Starship docked at the station investigating the murder of Captain Joseph Taylor, intervened and demanded access to the Harveq to study the body, despite the warnings of T'Sek's connections with the Romulan Star Empire.
