The USS Pravda is a Federation starship of the Sovereign Class. This vessel is commanded by Captain Doyle Allan Ripley, father of Counselor Anamitra Ripley serving aboard the USS Hades.

In 2407, this Starship was assigned to the 1st Defense Fleet which in turn participated in the Battle of Sector 001. Although the ship began the conflict as a vessel loyal to Admiral Doenitz The ship's captain managed to overcome those loyalists on-board and joined the 52nd Fleet. As a result of this the vessel was very badly damaged. Over three-quarters of the ship's crew was killed. Captain Ripley managed to survive the battle, and the subsequent investigation. The ship was salvaged and repaired.

Currently the Pravda is assigned to conduct scientific Surveys of space near Starbase Geneva.
