Within a matter of minutes disasters such as earthquakes, tsunamis and hurricanes which can happen planeside or orbital disasters which can also effect the planet below can overwhelm an entire population. Millions of people can be injured or traumatised and rapid medical care and coordinated emergency response are vital to protect survivors and help stabilize the planet.
The Albatross Organisation deploy highly skilled medical staff, logisticians experts into disaster zones quickly and effectively. Over decades we have built up a system of logistical support and a large pool of experienced Albatross staff that can be mobilised in a short space of time along with water and sanitation experts to provide assistance to the survivors needs
Immediate response[edit]
Experience has shown how responding to a disaster often goes beyond the immediate crisis.
In the emergency phase:
- The Albatross Organisation responds with surgery, medical care, psychological support, food, shelter and water, was relatively short.
In the long term long term phase:
- Albatross Organisation are used to help to contain and limit the spread of infectious diseases, re-establish health care systems and support people who had lost their homes and were living in temporary shelters.
Emergency preparedness[edit]
Albatross Organisation already run projects in worlds and systems all over the Alpha and Beta quadrant. Aid workers are usually already nearby when a disaster strikes. They are supported by Rapid Response Mobile Emergency Teams which are on permanent standby ready to be deployed from bases and station across the Alpha and Beta quadrant who are experts at doing quick assessments and organising immediate response.
Medical and logistical supplies are deployed in the form of pre-packaged kits ready for rapid deployment, are stored in warehouses in key locations quadrants wide.There is also a roster of experienced staff willing to drop everything and leave immediately to work in a disaster. This means that the staff are able to be able to respond where and when people need help as quickly as possible.
