Aeghon
Aeghon is a extremely rare minerals only theorized by Starfleet scientists until it was discovered on the planet Quezal in large quantity. It is the only mineral known to achieve P6 level of photonic concentration. Because of its better concentration, any light based weapon would be improved by at least 20% if Aeghon was used.
It is theorized by a few Starfleet scientists (but never proved) that only through such level of photonic concentration could EMR be produced in the form of Thalaran Radiation, making Aeghon essential to produce such radiation. It therefore led Vice-Admiral Thinn to believe are in search for Aeghon to produce new Scimitar Battleship and explain why they have been so much interested in the planet Quezal.
After the incident on planet Quezal, Captain Syuvik sent for his ACSO , Ensign Yeates to perform a study on a sample of Aeghon brought on board from the planet. Straight away the Ensign did a molecular scan followed by a close up look on the molecular level to get a better understanding on the mineral.
What was discovered was baffling , yet still managed to shed light as to what the Aeghons role in the explosion was. On the molecular level , the molecules and atoms were slowly moving which gives the Aeghon its unstable state if handled incorrectly or utilized outside of a controlled environment.
