Family and Background[edit]
His mother raised him in the Crescent City by herself after his father was killed in a shuttle accident. Huval knew from a very early age that he wanted to help those in need. He worked hard for grants and scholarships for college. He is married to Anastasia Landry Huval, and they have one son, Michael Joseph (12 y.o.). The doctor and his wife are currently separated. She is currently working as the Deputy Minister of Global Transportation on Earth Colony New France.
Education[edit]
Mitch started his secondary education career at the New Orleans Campus of Catharine Janeway College Prep School. He excelled in the medical science courses and soon began to dream of becoming a doctor. After Secondary school, Huval was admitted to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He majored in Terran Biology with a minor concentration in Medical Administration. He graduated with full honors. After earning his degree from ULL, Huval went onto the University of Central Florida’s Pre-Medical School. There he completed his degree with honors and found a love affaire with the stars, often visiting Starfleet’s Cape Canaveral facility and NASA Museum. In 2405, Huval served aboard the Olympic Class USS Fredrick Banting, a medical starship, as a Civilian Medical Administrative Consultant during the last year of the Repatriation of Bajor. Huval was responsible for the organization of Bajorian doctors in rural areas in order to resupply dispensaries, refurbish equipment and supplement inadequate medical staffs. After one year of this work, he applied to the Louisiana State University Medical School. From this school, Huval began to look for work in the field but still longed for a life among the stars. Huval next became a Assistant Chief Surgical Resident at the Tulane Trauma Center in New Orleans. In this role he served as a consultant for surgeries and helped in the day to day administration of the trauma Center. He found fulfillment in this role but looked up every night and yearned for the home he had known aboard the Banting, he soon applied for Starfleet and was accepted. During his tenure at Starfleet Academy, Huval was remarkable student. He majored in and received his second Masters Degree in Xeno-Biology while taking secondary coursework in Starship Command/ Administrative Theory.
Pre-Starfleet History[edit]
School, mostly. In 2401 Mitchell married a human woman named Anastasia Landry. In 2403 they concieved and bore a son, Michael Joseph. They are currently separated and Anastasia has taken their son to live with her family on New France where she works as the Deputy Minister of Transportation for the planetary government.
Starfleet History[edit]
2405- Contracted as a Civilian Medical Administrative Consultant aboard the USS Banting during the Repatriation of Bajor. 2413- Assigned to the USS Spectre as the Assistant Chief Medical Officer.
Medical History[edit]
Basic childhood breaks, sprangs and infections. In adulthood, once while working in the Emergency Room of the Tulane Trauma Center in New Orleans, he was stabbed in the right arm with a rudimentary shank (made from a tooth brush) by a deranged patient.
Skills[edit]
Fancies himself a General Practitioner but wants to learn more about non human life through space exploration. Eager to learn any and everything through tedious research and is pretty handy with all types of scanners and medical analyzers.
