Editing Battle of Cardassia

The [[Battle of Cardassia]] took place in late 2397 and was the final battle of the [[Cardassian-Federation War]].

The battle consisted of a fleet action in the form of a federation task force forcing the last significant forces of the [[Cardassian]] fleet into a set-piece battle. Thought the Cardassians fought hard and well, the [[Federation]] along with their [[Klingon]] allies were successful. Among the federation [[starship]]s lost were the [[USS Bastion]] and the [[USS Tripoli]].

The Father of [[Rank|Captain]] [[Ahmed Ibn Salid]] was killed aboard the Tripoli at the Battle of Cardassia. he was serving as that ship's [[Engineering|Chief Engineer]]
