==A First Mission==

With a Vulcan as their captain, the new ship inauguration is shortened and on stardate 2414.11.07, the USS Starfire receives permission to leave Starbase 989 for its first cruise. After activities in the [[Silent Rift]] in the Lantaru Sector where they had found their current chief engineer, the USS Starfire is sent to patrol the sector. The Silent Rift as the particularity that subspace in this sector has permanent damage and warp travel is impossible. 

On their third day (stardate 2414.11.09), the USS Starfire receive a distress call. When they arrive in the sector, they detect two ships dead in space. One is a warship and the other a cargo transporter. Tactical analysis reveals the two ships belongs to the same specie, the Vinians. However, with most sensors using subspace, data about the ship is limited. 

The First Officer, Lieutenant Ayehla Zyahn, organize two away team. The First away team is composed of Lieutenant Ayehla, Lieutenant Corey, Ensign Signos and Ensign Andersen. Their task is to beam on board the warship and gather data about the attackers. The second away team is composed of Lieutenant S'yes, Ensign C'Nell, Ensign Skyfire and Ensign Gunn is given the task to investigate the reason of the attack, the cargo it contained being a potential reason for the attack.
