== Background: ==

An orphan born in Edinburgh and raised by a variety of local families. Branded a troublemaker by those who looked after her she held contempt and malice for those that tried to replace her parents. Despite counselling these feelings grew through her teenage years. Despite this her life away from family was at the opposite end of the spectrum. Studious and quiet in learning she easily kept pace with the educational system. Following a shuttle accident while taking a tour round the world, for her sixteenth birthday, she re-evaluated her stance on life and came to amends with her several adopted families. Also as a direct result of the accident she took an active interest in piloting. She received a scar in the accident located beside her eye and also persistent headaches that require medication and meditation to relieve.

== Pre-Starfleet History: ==	

Much of her childhood history is unremarkable and standard despite her upbringing and events only really shaped her after a shuttle accident on her sixteenth birthday. After taking several piloting classes her instructor defined her as naturally gifted and contacted some of his friends to offer her a job. Later she got a job piloting single man craft from location to location for air acrobatic shows. Her duties also included repairing and maintaining all of the craft. Eventually she took part in the routines after studding the manoeuvres, training in her spare time, having flown in all the craft and... one of the pilots falling ill before a show. As she gained more experience with the ships she realized she wanted more, and the best way to get more was to enlist in Starfleet and fly some of the best fighters and ships she could get here hands on. <br /><br />

The truth however for Ash joining Starfleet was soon revealed. She had to comply with a court order demanding her enlistment to the Academy after attempts to stem her troubled past all resulted in failure. Acknowledging she has no noble cause to be serve in the fleet, the discipline and teachings of the Academy have put her more at ease with society and made her a better person. Her determination is now refocused to her duty to the ship and those serving on it.

Scar beside left eye (4cm). It blends in to the natural shape of the eye making it difficult for others to see. <br />
Requires constant medication for headaches since she was sixteen. This is supplemented with meditation. <br />

Piloting - She is a born pilot and has plenty experience in single manned fighters and shuttles with appropriate tactical knowledge and training to deal with any hostile situation that might arise. <br /> 
Engineering - She knows how to make something fly and move regardless of its condition and her is able to patch up considerable damage with little resources at her disposal.
