[[Joba]] is the capital city of the planet [[Beta Aquillia IV]]. It is a coastal city and houses all the [[Embassy|Embassies]] of the various worlds which hold diplomatic relations with the Aquillian government.

In 2414, The city became the center for a tense situation between the [[United Federation of Planets]], The [[Cardassian Union]], the [[Skorr|Skorr Hierarchy]] and the [[Romulan Star Empire]] when a pro-isolationist group known as the [[Veil of the Sky]] overthrew the pro-Federation government there in a surprise military coup.

During this time, the [[USS Rosenante]] was dispatched to secure the freedom of the [[Federation]] [[Ambassador]] [[Joanne Turner]] and her staff as well as conduct evacuation operations and provide security for refugees displaced by the fighting. 

It was in this city, that [[Rank|Captain]] [[Ahmed Ibn Salid]] ordered refugee camps, and mobile command centers set up, during the mission. He also relied upon the relative security of the off-shore hotel, [[Atlantis Station]] during the crisis.
