Editing Kozan-Kozana

[[Kozan-Kozana|Kozan and Kozana]] are a pair of [[Class M]] planets located in [[Sector 6309]]. They are roughly located 30 [[Light Year]]s from [[Beta Aquillia IV]].

The planets are unique in that they orbit each other as well as orbit their parent star Koza. The name of the two worlds comes from a prehistoric legend about the two worlds representing two interlocked lovers forever dancing through the void around the campfire (Koza). In this analogy, Kozan is the male world and Kozana is the female.

Despite their fairly close proximity and near exact same size, the two orbit each other in an extremely stable orbit. The gravitational influence of the two worlds creates some very extreme tidal action and the world is very geologically active.

The inhabitants of these two worlds are called the [[Kozani]], meaning "The Children of the Campfire." They originated on the world that they call Kozana, "Woman of the Campfire."

The planet Kozan has only been inhabited by Kozani within the last five centuries. Due to the complex balance between survival and extinction, the Kozani have developed a very different way of life on each of their two worlds.

On Kozan Cities are built within the crust of the planet in massive subterranean chambers, While on Kozana, the cities are called Drifter Cities, and are designed to ride the air currents well above the tumultuous surface of their world. 

As a result the vast majority of both worlds remain unspoiled by pollution, resource gathering or development.

These worlds were visited by the [[USS Rosenante]] in 2414, after the ship was damaged in a [[Plasma Field Storm]].
