The [[Kozani]] are a humanoid species native to the planets [[Kozan-Kozana|Kozan and Kozana]]. They are avery lively people, spiritual and respectful of their rich heritage. As a population they are very ecologically conscience of the role that they play within the world. The term Kozani, means "The Children of the Campfire." They are outwardly indistinguishable from [[Human]]s.

They express themselves frankly and honestly. They also tend to seize any opportunity to live life to its fullest. This makes them very welcoming to visitors.

Kozani technology is slightly more advanced in some areas than that of the [[Federation]], although the difference is only slight. Kozani Technology tends to revolve around ecologically friendly technologies. Among these technologies is the ability to fabricate massive "Drifter Cities" such as [[Delas City]] or massive "Waiting Cities", such as [[Lotos City]].

The planet Kozan has only been inhabited by Kozani within the last five centuries. Due to the complex balance between survival and extinction, the Kozani have developed a very different way of life on each of their two worlds.

As a result of their deep respect for the forces of nature, the vast majority of both worlds remains unspoiled by pollution, resource gathering or development.

Kozani males tend to keep their heads and faces clean shaven, while the females often adorn themselves with rich colors, cosmetics and exotic hair designs. Likewise Male clothing remains simple, while female clothing is elaborate and exotic.
