Editing Veil of the Sky

The [[Veil of the Sky]] is a pro-isolationist group who seized power on the  [[planet]] [[Beta Aquillia IV]]. They were a political voice against the inclusion of their world into the [[United Federation of Planets]] or for allowing their planets resources to be traded or sold to off-world governments.. They were led by the charismatic and xenophobic leader [[Habrii]] and his lieutenant [[Alaya]].

In 2414, they suddenly performed a violent coup against the government of the planet, displacing the leadership there and using military equipment, managed to take control of the planet's infrastructure using well-coordinated attacks. 

The President of the Aquillian Government, who was on the verge of finalizing the planet's membership into the [[UFP]] was exiled and trapped aboard [[Atlantis Station]]. Non-[[Aquillian]]s all over the planet were arrested and placed into internment camps for ''processing''. Amongst the prisoners taken was the [[Federation]] [[Ambassador]], [[Joanne Turner]] and her staff.

In return for their release, the Aquillians demanded complete non-interference from the Federation and also immediate recognition for their new ruling government.

The victory was not complete, as the planet was engulfed in a severe civil war between the members of this pro-isolationist movement and the embattled pro-Federation government.

The [[USS Rosenante]] was dispatched to liberate the citizens of the Federation that were taken hostage there.
