Volus is a member of Species 6063 who is native to the Delta Quadrant. He was once an archeologist who was forced into becoming a military officer. He commanded a fleet of Warships against the Borg sometime around 2390, but decided that he preferred Assimilation. He made arrangements with the Borg Queen to betray his species and allowed them to be assimilated. In 2414 Volus was encountered by the USS Boudicca and the USS Rosenante while they were investigating Borg activity at Dovek II. Volus was unlike other Borg Drones, since he had a great deal of individuality. It was suspected that this was in part a reward from the Borg Queen for his betrayal of his species. Volus was telepathic and was able to communicate in that manner with other species. He was a zealous supporter of Borg Philosophy. ---- Volus was first seen in the joint USS Boudicca and USS Rosenante mission Once More Into The Breach
