 Comes from a long family history of working in the sea. Mother was an oceanographer Father was Captian in the Federation Naval Patrol 
 
Education
 Joined Federation Naval patrol at 18. Worked in the tactical weapons department. Applied for dive school became a Master Diver. He has taken relevant courses and worked in most departments in the federation naval patrol. 
 
Pre-Starfleet History
 Was a Master Chief Petty Officer in the Federation Naval Patrol. A chief diving instructor at the Federation Naval Patrol Dive school in Portsmouth. Punched an officer at the dive school for assualting a female cadet. Was dismissed from the dive school for assulting the officer and was transfered to the exchange program. 
 
Starfleet History
 Transfered to Starfleet Academy as an instructor as part of an exchange program. Also promoted to an officer.

 Is fit for an 50 year old
