The USS Abilon is a vessel serving in the fleet of the United Federation of Planets. The vessel is a typical vessel of that class and is configured for scientific pursuits.
The Albion's general forte is planetary and stellar debris surveys.
In 2402 the vessel was assigned to conduct a series of detailed surveys of planets and debris fields located along the Cardassian - Federation border.
As a result the vessel has assembled some of the most comprehensive readings of the Ikev Sector
