Family and Background
Richard usually called 'Rick' is born in San Francisco, Earth, in a wealthy family, his parents own a club, The Diamond Club, one of the most popular establishment in town.
Education
As unique child his path was in some way all mapped out, his father was planning to send him to the Commercial and Trade University to take in the future his succession at the Club.
Pre-Starfleet history
But Rick's yearning were totally different, the Club was situated in the neibourghood of Starfleet Academy and frequented by Starfleet Officers and Cadets. Rick begin to strike up a friendship with some of them and in hearing stories about their trainings, their missions in space, he becomes attracted by this life. Despite his father's disagreement, he decides to join Starfleet
Starfleet History
After his graduation at the Academy, where he had finished major of his promotion, Rick was assigned as Security Officer onboard the USS Cheyenne, an Oberth Class science ship with the rank of Ensign Junior Grade
Due to his abilities, he rapidly climb up the grades and after five years he was transfered as Assistant Security & Tactical Chief to the USS Resolution, an Steamrunner Class vessel with the rank of Lieutenant
Six years later he was promoted to Lieutenant Commander and assigned as Security Chief on Starbase 12. Rick was destined to have a brilliant career in Starfleet and he was dreaming about the day he will get his own command. But after two years the odds began to turn their back on him. First he lost his best friend in a shuttle accident, Rick was piloting the shuttle and he began to feel responsible for his friend's death. Despite the counselling sessions, it was still a load heavy to bear then he started to find some kind of derivative at the game tables. After several months he was completely addicted to it and was crippled with debt that he couldn't paid back, then he met the worst person in his life, Gultan Formar, a Dopterian financier who offered him to honour his debts in exchange of little services. Rick was in a stranglehold, he had no other choice than accept the offer. The infernal spiral was beginning,...... spend two years on Ferenginar as bartender......owned a bar, Rick's Bar on Starbase Valhalla ...... was onboard the USS Firebrande when they encounter an alien species called the Kalmorose ......... assigned as Assistant Security & Tactical Chief on Starbase Valhalla
