An electrophoretic field is a type of biological energy field.
A swarm of space-dwelling lifeforms encountered by the USS Voyager in 2371 generated an electrophoretic field. The field increased electrophoretic activity in Kes' nervous system, causing her to enter premature elogium. (VOY: "Elogium")
