Phase Coil Resonator

A phase coil resonator is a type of engineering tool. It is believed that the device uses subatomic vibrations to look for micro fractures or energy gradients inside a given material medium.
In 2370, Lieutenant B'Elanna Torres used one while trying to construct a prototype Automated Personnel Unit. (VOY: "Prototype")
