Beta Aquillia IV
Beta Aquillia IV is the name of a Class M Super Earth planet that is located in the Alpha Quadrant, bordering Federation and Cardassian Union space.
The planet was visited by the USS Rosenante in 2414, in response to a situation in which the Federation Ambassador Joanne Turner and her staff were taken hostage by a group known as the Veil of the Sky. The planet was engulfed in a severe civil war between the members of this pro-isolationist movement and the current pro-Federation government.
When the Aquillian movement suddenly acquired a large quantity of military hardware, they struck quickly and with great efficiency. The deposed government managed to take refuge in the residence of the Federation Ambassador, but was captured when the movement captured that facility.
Across the planet the Aquillians made hostages of all off worlders and quickly demanded complete isolation and immediate acknowledgment of their claim to govern.
