Background[edit]
Robert Sykes is from a long line of Starfleet counselors and Medical personnel. He was the only child or James and Patricia Sykes and was expected to become a Starfleet doctor, with aspirations of being Chief Medical Officer someday. He did enter into medicine per se, however, Robert wanted more excitement, so instead, his career branched out a different way, as an medic, in the Starfleet Marines.

Robert was first Stationed aboard the Spectre as a Marine Medic Officer. He was originally stationed as a Third Lieutenant but soon gained a promotion to Second Lieutenant.
