Gerratlus IV
Gerratlus IV is a planet located in the Alpha Quadrant. It is the home world of the Gerratlian species. Their world is a member world of the United Federation of Planets.
The planet is only one of four in the system, and all the planets with the exception of the first in the system are inhabited. The world sits snugly inside the habitable zone of it's parent star. It has a non eccentric orbit, therefore it has mild climactic and seasonal changes.
The majority of the world is temperate in climate, reminiscent of Alpine and temperate forests of North American and parts of Europe on Earth. Due to the inhabitants reverence for nature, the planet has remained fairly pristine, and is considered one of the most pure worlds within the collective members of the UFP.
The inhabitants have painstakingly developed clean energy alternatives and have safeguarded their world with great care.
Commander Zzt is from this world, and his intelligence and technical know-how is an indicator of the general stewardship that the Gerratlians hold for their world.
