Lieutenant Commander Erika Marks was the Scientific Mission Commander on the Tirensu cultural study taking place on Tiren III.
She commanded a small survey outpost located at the end of a massive canyon roughly 80 km from the Tirensu settlement that they were studying. Her team consisted of 7 individuals, including herself, all of which were scientists.
Erika herself holds a degree in sociological development, cultural studies and Xenolinguistics. She also has a passing understanding of Anthropology, and Xenobiology.
Erika has prior experience leading scientific studies as part of a series of assignments serving aboard various Starfleet vessels. Her experience has helped prepare her for her very first Outpost command on Tiren.
