GC & ST:F

Hey folks. I'm GC, from the United Kingdom, otherwise, and affectionally known as "blighty" :) I've played in ST:F for nearly 10 months now, running my PC Lewis Nymes as the Assistant CMO on the USS Dennison, who has now been promoted to CMO and Lieutenant JG. In that time, I've learned a fair amount about the game, the style of playing it, and have had 3 SPCs approved, and one that just sort of happened.

Aboard the Dennison

During June and July of this year, I've spent a lot of time helping out the Dennison's mission, Dealing with the Enemy, firstly taking over a minor plot and blowing it up into something huge, due to lack of posts at the time. This led to the CO, Stacey, asking me to "help run the mission, and oh, could you do the compiles?". Perhaps foolishly, I said yes, and now I've learned to do some compiling, as well as gaining an insight into how the ship's missions are run - you cannot micro-manage 10 people, but a well posted NPC post can spin the plot off in a good direction.

The Current mission, my third as Nymes, and my 6th overall, is in an interesting phase at the moment: with a ship's party that saw the good doctor suffering from his assault in the previous mission, and being promoted by the captain.

The Future?

With this taster into helping to run a mission, and helping direct posts while the CO and FO are on holiday, and keeping the posts flying, my desire to join the command echelon has increased... but It will take time though my PC is now moving through the ranks!
