Terian Logan is a 31 years young Lieutenant Commander, currently incarcerated on Djörn Major. Previously he has served on the USS Mescalero.

Starfleet Academy

• 2397-2401

Terian Logan was a loner at the Academy, prefering to complete his training without the distractions of the youthful officers around him. Studying Operations and Helm, he graduated at the age of 25, and was sent to the USS Hotspur, under the command of a Captain Francis McIntyre, and acting as ACONN/AOPs under the then Lieutenant Samantha Druids.

The Hotspur Years

• 2401-2403

Terian's first placement was a learning curve, but an enjoyable one. His immediate superior, Samantha Druids was personable, and became a close friend, and helped the junior ensign cut his teeth in Starfleet. The Hotspur was a scientific research vessel, and Logan found much of his time was split between operations and Science, integrating the engineering and science depatartments on board. His quiet knack of dealing with problems as they arose earned him the nickname "droid" in the engineering decks, bringing a wry smile to the young ensign's face.

After two and a half years on the Hotspur, including promotion to Lieutenant (j.g), Logan was transferred to the Planetary Station Elapa Seven to manage a team installing initial colony supplies.

The Layover Years

• 2404-2405

Logan spent 16 months on Elapa 7, in the Colony Creation Unit. He oversaw the Phase 1 and 2 parts of colonisation of the world, and considered it to be a terraformed Eden by the end of his tour of duty. It was here that he met Jim Pulsington, whom he built up a strong friendship, given the rating and the officer's similar taste in holoprogramming.

At the beginning of Phase 3 of the Project, Lt-Cdr Samantha Druids asked Logan to join her on her new posting, the USS Mescalero, and Logan obliged, bringing Jim Pulsington with him to be the CEO.

A Renovated Mescalero

After the Mescalero was surprised by the USS Brilliant whilst on convoy duty, Terian was the highest ranking officer to survive the attack, and assumed responsibility as acting captain, overseeing repair work and the travel to the closest starbase, 443.

Whilst there, he had little time to reflect on the loss of his closest friends and superiors, as Lieutenant Josh Parker attempted to escape from the station, forcing the Mescalero out on an intercept mission, half way through repairs. Despite warning the Pilot, Logan is unsurprised that the maverick has avoided the conflict, electing to run away from the crippled miranda-class vessel.

Despite this, he has laid in a pursuit course, unaware of what was ahead. He failed to catch the maverick pilot, but encountered the shuttlecraft of Alison Porthells in a nebula, and despite his vessel sustaining heavy damage, succeeded in destroying the shuttle, killing its pilot, for the loss of many Mescalero crew, including its CEO and Terian's personal friend. Obviously shaken by these events, he ordered the Mescalero back to the Doenitz starbase for further repairs.
