A biogenic compound was a gel-like substance used for biogenic reasons in stasis tubes.
The Cardassian stasis tubes found on Empok Nor in 2373 contained a bluish biogenic compound. Garak found some of the compound on the doorway to Empok Nor's infirmary where it was left behind by one of the soldiers who had been unknowlingly revived by the Deep Space 9 crew. The compound was identified by Crewman Boq'ta's tricorder. (DS9: "Empok Nor")
