Braak's Bar
Braak's Bar is a Ferengi owned and operated bar located on the promenade of Starbase 989. The owner is a business man named Braak.
In 2413, Braak's bar was visited by investigators from the USS Rosenante in connection with the murder of Captain Joseph Taylor.
The Bar is dominated by a large half-circular bar and an illuminated dance floor. They establishment offers legalized gambling and drinks.
The place is well-known as a haven for freighter crews, and a few less-than-legitimate smugglers and troublemakers. There are frequent scraps between Starfleet officers and the more unsavory clientele frequenting the bar.
On stardate 2414.01.01, during the power failure on Starbase 989, Braak's Bar became the focus of intense looting and vandalism. Starfleet officers from the Federation starships USS Rosenante and USS Boudicca attempted to protect the establishment from the riot but failed due to a lack of man power.
Braak's Bar was first seen in the USS Rosenante mission Touch of the Eidolon.
