Immunosuppressants are a type of drug used to limit the response of the immune system in humanoids.
To help William Riker's body to accept the Odan symbiont, Dr. Beverly Crusher administered an immunosuppressant to combat the symptoms of Riker's body rejecting the symbiont. (TNG: "The Host")
